Happy Fourth of July Laurel South Family! The past few days in Casco have been nothing short of electric! The energy reached a fever pitch when Spirit Days broke just as breakfast began, launching us all into two unforgettable days of Green and Blue pride. From Relays and Tug-of-Ohana to Silent Dinner and Kaos, the camp was alive with spirit, sportsmanship and unity. Campers and counselors alike gave their all in competition, while building memories that will last long beyond the summer.

After the final cheers of Spirit Days faded, we dove right back into our incredible programming. Campers returned to their favorite activities — from Waterskiing to Climbing and Ceramics to Archery — and you could feel the joy all across camp. The program day was stacked with special events, hiking trips, and some good old fashioned camp fun.

Another S-Day has swooped in to pick up the fun – but not just any S-Day: it’s the 4th of July, and we celebrated in true Laurel South fashion. Our Independence Day celebration kicked off with an IC morning, full of 5-Year club trips, bumper tubing, and our color run. We topped off our afternoon with ice cream sundaes and sibling photos with the much-anticipated Laurel South Carnival. From inflatables and games to face paint and snacks, the fun is nonstop with our entire camp family together to celebrate. We also watched our iconic fireworks display over Crescent Lake — a storied tradition that lights up the sky and our hearts.

Looking ahead, we’re soaking in every moment of our last full week of programming. The weather forecast looks beautiful, and spirits are high as we make the most of every activity period and evening program. With the session’s final days approaching, each hour feels more meaningful than the last.

There’s still so much to look forward to: two spectacular theatre shows, the always-intense MooseBowl, the epic Katahdin Cup, our rocking MooseStock concert, and surprises still in store. As we round the corner into the homestretch of the session, we’re reminded just how special it is to be at Laurel South — where every day is packed with friendship, fun, and lots of magic.
